It can make a difference as it is published in a communications vehicle, promoting peace and well-being. The images could be used freely in campaigns or acts that promote these ideals, or could be bought by companies that wish to use them commercially. Images of Peace will control its use, ensuring that your image is used in the best way possible, in order to benefit the greatest possible number of people. The images will be evaluated according to relevance to the theme, originality and technical quality and by a commission nominated by Images of Peace.

The images must fit in one or more of the following categories, expressing some of the values recognized as positive, as defined by Unesco : Love, Cooperation, Happiness, Honesty, Humility, Freedom, Peace, Respect, Responsibility, Simplicity, Tolerance, Unity.
